Call for Papers

We welcome presentations, evaluations and discussions of clinical work or clinical research concerning group analytic psychotherapy methods, modalities, and practices. Scientific presentations include qualitative and quantitative research designs, case studies or meta-analyses of literature.

The abstract should provide a summary no longer than 300 words. We recommend that the text is structured as follows:

1) Title and authors
2) Background
3) Aims
4) Methods and
5) Results / discussion points.

Three to four related presentations may form a panel. For panels, an overriding title, a short introduction and name of chair is submitted as well as separate abstracts for each presentation.

The conference explores transgressions both within and by the group. In group analysis, we do not view transgressions as an individual event, but rather as a phenomenon that can arise and evolve within the dynamics of the group. The group can serve as both the framework where transgressions occur and, at the same time, the place where processing and healing can take place.

The conference will delve into the complex relationships and group processes that lead to transgressions, and how group-analytic therapy can offer an in-depth understanding of these processes. We will explore how transgressions in a group context not only affect those directly involved but the group as a whole, and how transgressions can arise from the group as a system – in institutional, social, or organizational frameworks.

All submitted abstracts will be evaluated by the organisation committee who will put together a final program.

Deadline for abstract submission is the 1st of March 2025 submitted to Susanne Broeng, e-mail: susanne@broeng.dk
